Comments: Hello! My father was Dale C. Hollingsworth, his father was Grover Cleveland Hollingsworth, whose father was Isaac Hollingsworth, whose father was Andrew Jackson Hollingsworth, son of Jacob Hollingsworth, son of Samuel Hollingsworth, son of Samuel Hollingsworth, son of Valentine Hollingsworth, son of Henry Valentine Hollingsworth, son of Robert Valentine Hollingsworth II, son of Prince Robert Valentine Hollingsworth I, Son of Robert Hollingsworth, son of Henry Hollingsworth, son of Valentine Hollingsworth.
For reasons unknown to me, my parents did not stay close to their families, so I never knew any of my relations. A friend did a ancestor search for me and found the above information. I am so glad I finally found family.

Comments: I married into the Hollingsworth family. I did research for my children and grandchildren on their father John Hollingsworth. I was able to take the family back through Pennsylvania, Delaware and then Ireland. I was surprised how easy the search was. I am having trouble getting them back to England. So without a DNA test I cannot say for certain that my children are related to the original Valentine, Sr. In England. But this set is quite interesting. I read the comments made and it appears that my children are related to many of the people on this site.

Comments: My father is Richard Veron Freeze II.
For everyone with the last name Freeze, when you are introducing yourself, do you automatically say "Freeze" and follow it by spelling it out. What's with that.
Then you have the ppl who reference Batman like it's the first time I've ever heard of that.

Comments: hello, I have records that my father was born in Glossop in 1936 and was living at Hollingsworth Hall until possibly 1941 with his parents, after that I am trying to work out. Not sure what the connections was between HH and Herbert Issac and Elizabeth Buckley; sure he worked in the motor trade. I gather the Water Board had purchased it by then? If anyone has any info I would be grateful, thank you.

Comments: Very informative information and photos you have for those Ancestors associated to Hollingsworth Hall. My 4 times Great Grandfather Jeremiah Hollingworth who was 1 of the Original Signers of the Iowa Constitution in 1857. Valentine Hollingsworth being Jeremiah's 5 Great Grandfather, Valentine Hollingsworth being my 10th Grandfather. I have a couple china pieces from Hollingsworth Hall in storage that had been passed down thru the Hollingsworth Ancestors.

Comments: I was born in Philadelphia and raised on the banks of the Delaware. I am descended from Valentine Hollingsworth via my 3rd great grandmother, Mary Ann Moore Perry. The Perry family were the original settlers of Salem County NJ which is across the river from New Castle DE. I was amazed to find out the family history very recently and that I was descended from Valentine.
